While I love this practice and how it targets the core, I understand if it might be a little rough on your wrists. If that's the case, please still join me and take the side planks on your forearms instead of your hands or put a knee down for support. As I've grown in my practice and noticed changes in my body recent years, I've come to discover that I am a much happier yogi when modifying to protect my joints rather than pushing through to reach a higher level. Not only has my mood improved, but I'm more consistent in my practice because I've allowed for adjustments that suit me. So, yes, this is more of an intermediate class due to some of the challenging side plank variations, but I encourage anyone and everyone to give it a shot and modify as needed.
