I know it's hard to believe that you can build heat and work up a sweat without chaturangas but it's TRUE! As wonderful as that transition is to build strength and burn calories, I think it's easy to use it as a crutch and miss out on exploring other ways to accomplish the same goals. Often yogis aren't forced to try other options until their wrists start to bother them, and by then, the damage may already have been done. Let's be proactive in switching up our routines, both to challenge ourselves during our practice and to prevent injury from overuse.
