What is CMAC?

Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC) is a membership-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to help citizens, schools, non-profits, public agencies and others better connect with our Fresno/Clovis community through the use of media.

What We Offer

The media center offers a full range of production tools and training at low or no cost to community users. The facility includes classrooms, meeting rooms, editing suites, a computer lab, TV studio, and podcast studio. CMAC also operates three television channels on Comcast Xfinity and AT&T U-verse, and streams 24/7 on Roku, Apple TV, and cmac.tv. These platforms are available for community producers to distribute the video and audio programming they create.

CMAC’s mission is to empower voices in our community to promote awareness, understanding, dialogue and civic engagement by providing media resources, access to training, and broadening media literacy.

What Our Members Say

Angelica Hernandez,

Member Since 2018

“As an independent filmmaker, CMAC has been an amazing resource for me to pursue my passion. CMAC has made it possible for me to tell stories through film and has honestly been a bright spot during the pandemic with their online tutorials, live content and their tremendous support and encouragement through my most recent project. I owe so much of my creative development to CMAC and I hope to continue my filmmaking journey as an active member for years to come.”

Shannon Grissom,

Member Since 2019

“I have been an active member for about a year. During that time, I have found everyone at CMAC to be incredibly positive, helpful and supportive. Thank you all for all the good work you do for our community. Fresno is lucky to have such a great organization!”

Jackie Meador,

“A year and a half has passed and it’s been that long since I stepped inside the CMAC studio.  Now, we are back and it’s a new adventure, dusting off the ol’ teleprompter, moving the studio cameras out of drydock and sweeping away the cobwebs from my brain so I can remember how to turn on my mic.  Starting with a bit of anxiety to be sure but it’s like riding a bike, it all comes back to you eventually and now, excited to get back into the groove again and bringing a crew together to film our show Paranormal Journeys.  And 3-2-1…….Lights, Cameras, Action!”
