Let’s Start Sweding!

Swede Fest is a film festival for sweded films – short, homemade recreations of your favorite Hollywood movies – and we want you to participate!
It’s easy to create your own sweded film. Just pick your favorite movie and remake it in a fun, creative, low-budget fashion using your friends or family, and whatever you have laying around the house. Make sure your video is under 4 minutes in length and is appropriate for all ages, then submit it at SwedeFest.com. We will all get together and watch all the submissions at a special screening event on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at historic Royce Hall on the campus of Fresno High School.

Submissions are due by Monday, April 21 at 11:59 p.m. It’s free to submit and attend. Get inspired by watching sweded films from the previous festivals at SwedeFest.com.
