The City Council has appointed 25 citizens to form a Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) to the review services that the City of Clovis Police Department provides with the existing staffing and funding along with the spending and staffing patterns within the Police Department over the past 15 years. The CAC will also evaluate how the City maintained the “Safest City in the Valley” position and the level of resources that would be needed for Clovis to remain as the “Safest City in the Valley”. After the CAC’s review and evaluation of the Police Department’s current status, the CAC will report recommendations to the City Council regarding the issues mentioned above.
