Welcome to CMAC
Welcome to CMAC
Thank you for supporting CMAC and our nonprofit mission to empower voices in our community through media. You have a story to tell and we’re here to help. Scroll down for more information about how to get started!
If you have plans to produce something in our facilities or with CMAC gear, we highly recommend attending one of our workshops. Our workshops will give you a broad overview of the equipment, how it works, and best practices to help set your production up for success.
If you’d like to attend one of our workshops to learn more about media production, you can check out the upcoming schedule.
If you prefer to learn on your own, we’ve got you covered. CMAC staff has both curated playlists as well as produced a number of tutorial videos on an assortment of topics ranging from Media Literacy to lighting design. Check out our library of production tutorials!
Got an idea for a project? Great! Tell us all about it by filling out a production proposal form. You’ll need one approved if you want to check out equipment for your project.
Not ready to start a project? That’s great, too! You can join the CMAC volunteer email list where you’ll receive crew call requests from other CMAC members. You’ll see the name of the producer, a general description of the project, and the crew positions requested. If it looks like something you want to be a part of, you’ll be able to reach out to the producer directly.
If you’re ready to get started, you can check out cameras, lights, microphones, and other types of equipment for your production. The only requirement is that the check out is for a project with an approved production proposal.
If you’d like to work on your own project, fill out a production proposal to get started! If you’re volunteering on someone else’s project, just let us know what project you’ll be working on when you request equipment and we’ll take care of the rest.
The studio, podcast room, whisper booth, and private edit bays all require a reservation to use. Availability is first-come, first-serve. Reserve any of the above spaces here.
If you have additional questions about equipment, workshops, or how to get your project started, request a one-on-one meeting to address your questions!
For questions about your membership, reservations, and checkouts, email info@cmac.tv.
While you’re in the building, you can also get in-person help from our production assistants.
Looking for more information about putting your finished project on air? You can email our Media and Distribution Coordinator, Dom Zamora at dom@cmac.tv about scheduling and other requirements.
We also have several opportunities for you to get involved with CMAC and connect with other member, like our meetups!
From talk shows and podcasts to live events and music videos, there’s no shortage of creativity among our community producers. Check out what your fellow members are doing!
CMAC offers a variety of video production training, starting with the new member Orientation. Orientation explains what CMAC is all about and the services we offer to the public.
Can’t make it to one of our regularly scheduled workshops? Don’t worry, we offer private training!
For a small fee we can customize a training schedule that will work best for you or your organization. Reach out to our Community Media Manager at johnny@cmac.tv or 559-266-2622 for more information.
