Description | Fresno City College was the first college campus Josephine set foot on as a child. Since then, she’s come full-circle becoming a student and now an employee with the State Center Community College District. She’s worked in multiple campus departments throughout the past eighteen years, for example the President’s Office, Admissions and Records and the Training Institute. Currently, she is a Scholarship Specialist for FCC and active on campus having served on various committees supporting student success. This year Josephine holds the position of President of the Latino Faculty & Staff Association while also continuing to be involved virtually through volunteering and serving the people of her community, and most recently she is working with the Dolores Huerta Foundation through their Vecinos Unidos Program. She earned Associate Degrees in Liberal Arts and General Studies from Fresno City College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University, and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Fresno State. This year-long pandemic and her love of growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers has sparked the desire in her to become a master gardener. Josephine is looking forward to spending time with family, friends, and traveling to the beach again when it’s safe. |
