GIS, or geographic information systems, are used by the City to visualize data and put it to use and Erika Johnson oversees the team that makes it all happen! Using GIS, the team can make maps that do everything from assisting a resident in finding their trash pickup day to helping firefighters understand the layout of a burning building before they enter.
