Kamla sits down to talk with filmmaker Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck about his third feature film 'Never Look Away'. In 2007 Donnersmark won an Academy Award for the best foreign film 'The Lives of Others'. In this wide-ranging conversation Donnersmarck shares why he made the film, the role of political ideology and his writing process. In 'Never Look Away', Donnersmarck uses art as a lens to see what happened in Germany from World War II to the building of the wall between East and West Germany. Donnersmarck says the film is loosely based on the life of a well-known German artist.
