Travel To India: Week 2, I was dying to get mahendi, otherwise known as henna body art. Seeing all the Indian women with those elegant floral designs, made me want one of my own. So while in Delhi, I sat down with an artist who produced an intricate piece of art on my leg! In India, mahendi is auspicious (lucky) and used in many Indian rituals. Since I was stuck in the chair for 1.5 hours, I decided I had plenty of time to learn the science of henna while I waited.
