Fresno Chaffee Zoo Chief Executive Officer Jon Forrest Dohlin has extensive experience in project and animal management as well as a strong commitment to conservation and education. Though his time in New York was exciting and professionally fulfilling, California always remained Jon’s home. While it was the urge to return to California that began his inquiries at Fresno Chaffee Zoo, it was the people and the community’s support for the Zoo that drew him to Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Jon is building on the great work that has already been done to create an outstanding zoo in the Central Valley and is committed to continuing the Zoo’s mission by focusing on conservation, education, world class animal care, community engagement, and breathtaking exhibits. As Chief Executive Officer, Jon oversees all functions of the Zoo, including 200 species of animals and the Zoo’s exhibits, such as Sea Lion Cove and African Adventure.
