Fresno State Course Spotlight: Puppetry

Fresno State’s Department of Theatre and Dance offers five bachelor’s degree programs, many of which focus on exciting performances and dynamic productions. However, the department’s Theatre Education degree option emphasizes theatre principles as tools to encourage creativity and embodied learning in education settings. This course, which also serves as a popular elective for liberal studies majors, not only teaches students how to leverage theatre in curriculum development, but gives them an opportunity to create greater access to theatre in their community through its service learning component.
