Fresno County proudly joined Habitat for Humanity and the City of Firebaugh to break ground on seven new homes in the once-dormant San Joaquin Villas subdivision — and surprise four local families with the life-changing news that they were selected as future homeowners! Thanks to nearly $1.34 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from the County of Fresno, Phase 1 ($790K in ARPA funds for construction) and Phase 2 ($546K in ARPA funds for future development) of this project are turning hope into homes — with infrastructure, flood control, and long-term support for working families.
