The California Endowment in honor of Dr. Beatriz Solis, on June 29, 2022, her birthday celebrated her memory and re-dedicated our large conference room at the TCE LA Conference Center in her name. Bea was a loving but fierce warrior for justice. She harnessed her enormous spirit of love of community and translated it into powerful action for justice. Bea embodied the belief that challenging inequities and systemic racism in communities must include the arts and culture to enhance the power of storytelling. Bea’s legacy will continue to serve as a beacon for each and all of us to utilize our voices and power in the fight for health and racial justice.
