Comcast recently celebrated one year of providing service to the Caruthers community with a special event that included a surprise donation to support digital literacy and educational access. As part of the celebration, all 8th-grade students in the Caruthers Unified School District received free laptops, and a $10,000 contribution was made to the Caruthers Unified Education Fund. At the same event, Comcast officially broke ground on its next rural broadband expansion project in Riverdale, CA. Backed by a $1 million grant from the California Public Utilities Commission and Comcast's private investment, the project will bring fast, reliable Xfinity Internet to 162 previously unserved homes and businesses by 2026.
