According to the National Reentry Resource Center, approximately 9 million people will be released annually from jails across the country. Once released, they face systemic and individual barriers that impede their ability to attain a successful reentry. Many advocates across the country are pushing for an investment into communities through a myriad of initiatives and campaigns that address the lack of resources needed to survive post-incarceration.
