CMAC Fee Waiver Program FAQ

The CMAC Fee Waiver Program provides financial assistance to cover the cost of a CMAC membership for one year. This program aims to support individuals who are passionate about media arts but may not have the financial means to afford membership.

A CMAC membership includes access to CMAC’s facilities, equipment, training workshops, and the opportunity to broadcast content on CMAC’s platforms. Members can utilize these resources to create and distribute their own media projects.

The fee waiver is available to individuals who demonstrate a need for financial assistance and have a strong interest in media arts. Individuals must live in Fresno County to qualify.

To apply, you need to complete an application form available on the CMAC website. The application process typically requires a written statement outlining your interest in media arts, what your goals are for utilizing a CMAC membership, and a description of your financial need.

Recipients are selected based on their demonstrated financial need, commitment to media arts, and the potential impact the scholarship will have on their work. A selection committee reviews all applications and makes the final decisions.

Application will be accepted on a rolling basis. Eligible applicants will be contacted if their application is selected.

Yes, applicants who are not selected are encouraged to reapply. Feedback may be provided to help strengthen future applications.

Recipients are expected to actively participate in CMAC activities, make use of the resources provided, and produce media content. Recipients will be asked to share their experiences and outcomes with the CMAC community. Failing to utilize your membership may impact your chances at renewing in the future.

The fee waiver covers a one-year membership. Recipients wishing to extend their membership will need to re-apply for another fee waiver.
