Member of the Month – Jackie Meador

CMAC is full of individuals working hard to learn new skills, create content, and share their stories with community members like you. Each month we highlight a CMAC member to acknowledge them for all their work. For March, our member of the month is Jackie Meador! She has been a member since early 2013 and has a long-time running show called “Paranormal Journeys” which focuses on all things spooky and supernatural. We asked Jackie a few, fun questions and here’s what she had to say:

1) What’s your favorite part about CMAC?

The people: staff and members. To be sure, CMAC offers great opportunities to our community but without the staff there to guide the members and assist them their projects and the encouragment and support from our fellow members, it would be total confusion.

2) What was the worst job you ever had?

I’ve been a construction worker, gardener, bartender, secretary, parliamentarian, berry picker, housekeeper, paralegal, court clerk, waitress but the worst was when I had a job as a building site/yard cleaner. After 2 weeks on the job it all came to a screaming halt when I was hired to clean out a dumpster filed with household garbage including dog poop and dirty diapers. Nope. Not in my job description. Quit on the spot.

3) What is you favorite quote? Why?

“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”  – Albert Einstein. I think it’s self-explanatory.

4) What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?

Octopus. Never again.

5) If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?

Comedy, because I love to laugh.  Sally Field, because they say we look alike, who knew!

6) You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?

White Rabbit – Jefferson Airplane or Black Velvet – Alanah Myles or Dream a little Dream – Mama Cass

7) What would the title of your autobiography be?

What’s up with that? By Ms. Know it All.

8) What is your favorite magical or mythological animal?

Unicorn or Pegasus, basically anything that resembles a horse.

9) What is your spirit animal?

Bear.  Really wanted it to be a wolf but I guess being the biggest & baddest isn’t too shabby, I’ll take it.

10) What’s the most out-of-character thing you’ve ever done?

Go Go Dancer  (Now there’s a story for another day and one I don’t share a lot…or at all really)

11) If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

Ladies hats

12) What’s the most embarrassing fashion trend you used to rock?

Hip hugger bell bottoms. I Killed it.

13) If you were famous, what would you be famous for?

Paranormal TV Talk Show Host and/or Paranormal Research, Investigating & Writing

14) What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

“How Can You Ask For Directions When You’re Going Someplace No One’s Ever Gone Before?” Gloria Young, Ghost Trackers

15) What does your favorite shirt look like?

Peasant blouse in blue & white
